GeoInt Expands into Brazil with Intelligent Speed Profiling
GeoInt has expanded its international services footprint into Brazil, bringing intelligent speed profiling to one of Latin America’s largest and most dynamic markets.
Through its partnership with Pilot Telematics, GeoInt’s unique Hyper Reverse Geocoder (HRG) leverages speed profile and speed limit data from its global mapping partner, TomTom, and is now supporting rental vehicle operations in Brazil.
With Brazil’s vehicle rental sector now supporting a rental fleet of more than 1.5 million cars and light commercial vehicles, the market is experiencing notable expansion.
The Brazilian car rental market is also forecast to grow by around 10% over the coming peak season, driven by a rebound in tourism and increased air travel, trends that continue to expand demand for temporary mobility solutions.
In rental environments, speeding behaviour carries implications beyond traffic fines. It affects vehicle wear and tear, maintenance cycles, insurance exposure and most importantly, road safety for drivers and other road users.
Turning Location Data into Actionable Intelligence
At the core of the solution is GeoInt’s Hyper Reverse Geocoder (HRG), combined with TomTom road speed data.
The HRG transforms raw vehicle coordinates into contextualised location intelligence. When integrated with TomTom (our global mapping partner) speed data, this capability supports accurate speed profiling and alerting, which allows rental operators to better understand and manage speeding behaviour across their entire rental fleet.
